ABOUT US

HDL Construction is a proud family owned and operated business.  The construction company was founded by Horacio Antonio De Leon aka “Tony” in 2011, with a vision in backyard makeovers to include swimming pools, landscaping, palapas and outdoor kitchens.
In 2016 the business expanded to San Antonio, TX with an opportunity to do work for large developers in the area of residential subdivisions. These projects include entry monuments, community recreation centers with swimming pools, hardscapes, landscaping, playscapes and overall green spaces. 
In 2019, Horacio De Leon, Tony’s father joined the company after his retirement of 26 years working in City government.
Mr. De Leon brings with him extensive experience in project and financial management due to his tenure at the City where he retired as City Manager.  Together, father, son and other members of the family have joined forces and have ventured into the custom home market, land investments, and rental properties in Laredo.
As a result, the family has created sister companies: HDL Properties, Backyards Unlimited and De Leon Land Investments.
